Chelsea have reportedly had a huge bid for Alex Sandro turned down by Juventus after reigniting their interest in the Brazilian left-back.
The Blues were heavily linked with the 26-year-old earlier in the window, as Antonio Conte is said to be keen to bolster his wide defensive positions before the window closes.
After having a number of advances turned down it looked as though Chelsea were prepared to admit defeat, but it emerged earlier this week that Conte still holds an interest in the defender.
Italian outlet Calciomercato reports that the Premier League champions' latest bid totalled £73m, with £64m made up of one initial upfront payment and the rest in bonuses.
Juve are reluctant to do business, though, having already waved goodbye to Dani Alves and Leonardo Bonucci so far during the off-season.
Sandro, who joined the Serie A giants from Porto in 2015, featured 27 times in the league last season and a further 11 times in the club's run to the Champions League final.
