Liverpool transfer news: Premier League club eyeing international goalkeeper?

:Headline: Liverpool transfer news: Premier League club eyeing international goalkeeper?:
Another Premier League is allegedly preparing to join the race to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhim Kelleher.

Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is allegedly attracting interest from another Premier League club.

Kelleher has forged a reputation as one of the best number-two goalkeepers in world football having frequently played second fiddle to Alisson Becker despite a string of impressive performances for the Merseyside giants.

However, with Giorgi Mamardashvili moving from Valencia to Anfield at the end of the season, it is already clear Kelleher will be sold if Alisson remains at the club.

With just 65 senior appearances to his name at the age of 26, the Republic of Ireland international is eager to secure regular first-team football from 2025-26 onwards.

According to The Sun, yet another team from England's top flight has joined the race for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.

South-coast move in the offing?

The report alleges that Bournemouth are interested in securing a deal for Kelleher with the promise of becoming their new number one.

Kepa Arrizabalaga has held that berth this season having been allowed to leave Chelsea on loan, making 25 starts in all competitions.

Nevertheless, while the Spain international is said to be in favour of a permanent switch to the Vitality Stadium, it remains to be seen whether Bournemouth are.

As it stands, it is claimed that Bournemouth are confident of beating "big six" clubs to Kelleher's signature, which would subsequently result in Arrizabalaga returning to West London.

Bournemouth are under no obligation to sign Arrizabalaga and are seemingly taking their chance to assess alternatives.

Can Bournemouth be viewed as favourites?

Realistically-speaking, Kelleher is only going to choose a club where he will be viewed as the number one pick between the sticks.

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also credited with an interest, yet it is questionable whether Kelleher would get the nod at any of that trio of teams.

A move to Chelsea is perhaps most realistic given the issues they have with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen, yet the Blues already have Djordje Petrovic and Mike Penders as alternatives.

On that basis, Bournemouth may prove to be the most appealing choice to Kelleher, particularly if Andoni Iraola's team can qualify for Europe. body check tags ::
