Liverpool have reportedly joined the race for Dallas forward Ricardo Pepi.

The 18-year-old has been in impressive form for his MLS club during the current season, finding the back of the net on 13 occasions in 27 appearances.

Ajax are believed to be tracking the attacker, who recently revealed that he is setting his sights on moving to a European leading club in the future, with Real Madrid and Chelsea mentioned as possible destinations.

According to CBS Sports, Liverpool are also in the picture for Pepi, with the Reds closely monitoring his performances in North America.

The report, meanwhile, claims that Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Borussia Dortmund are admirers of the four-time United States international.

Pepi, who still has five years left to run on his current deal, has scored 16 times and registered four assists in 55 appearances for Dallas in all competitions.
