Liverpool could be about to hijack Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill's move to Chelsea with a bid of their own.
After a £7m fee was agreed between Chelsea and Bolton, talks have reportedly hit a stumbling block over wages.
The Merseyside club are now ready to snatch the England centre-back from under the Blues' noses, according to The Mirror.
It is thought that Cahill would prefer to stay in the North.
