Manchester City want to sign Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku this summer, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly keen to bring Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku back to the Premier League during this summer's transfer window.

The Belgium international has been in excellent form for Inter since arriving from Manchester United in August 2019, scoring 61 goals in 91 appearances in all competitions.

Lukaku has 27 goals and eight assists in 40 outings this term, meanwhile, including 21 strikes in Serie A, with Antonio Conte's side closing in on the Italian title.

Chelsea continue to be linked with their former player, but according to Calciomercato, there is also genuine interest from the runaway Premier League leaders.

The report claims that Pep Guardiola's side view the Belgian as the ideal player to replace Sergio Aguero, who will be leaving on a free transfer at the end of June.

Lukaku, though, is allegedly not interested in returning to England at this stage of his career as he continues to go from strength to strength at San Siro.

The 27-year-old's current deal with Inter is due to run until June 2024. body check tags ::
