Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount has suggested that he has been a long-term admirer of future teammate Hakim Ziyech.
In February, Chelsea announced that they had agreed to sign the Ajax playmaker ahead of the start of the next campaign.
While Ziyech impressed against the Blues in the Champions League earlier in the season, Mount has acknowledged that he has been a fan of the Morocco international since playing against him while on loan at Vitesse in 2018.
During his involvement in a charity FIFA tournament, the academy graduate said: "So, two years ago, I was in Holland on loan so I knew a bit about him then and obviously saw how good a player he is.
"So, obviously it's another amazing, world class player joining the club. So yeah, buzzing to work with him, train with him and hopefully play with him."
Ziyech has contributed eight goals and 16 assists from just 27 outings in the Eredivisie and Champions League this season.
