West Ham United manager David Moyes has joked that he would ask for Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour to be included in any deal for Declan Rice.
Rice has supposedly attracted interest from Frank Lampard's side this term, although West Ham are said to be reluctant to part ways with the 21-year-old.
Nevertheless, Moyes has acknowledged the rumours that Chelsea are keen on a deal for Rice, and the Scot has heaped praise on the Blues' teenage midfielder Gilmour.
"The one [Scottish player] who if I could sign tomorrow I would is Billy Gilmour after his opening performances for Chelsea," Moyes told BBC Scotland's Scottish football podcast.
"He's looked like a seasoned pro, he's looked like somebody who's hungry, who's in love with the game.
"I was laughing because I keep getting told that Chelsea want Declan Rice, so I thought well I might just decide I want Billy Gilmour and see how it goes."
Gilmour has made seven appearances for Chelsea this term, and the 18-year-old has also turned out 12 times for the Scotland Under-21 side.
