Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar has said that he is determined to stay with the French champions this summer amid the recent speculation surrounding his future.

The Brazil international has won four Ligue 1 titles during his time in the French capital, but the club are still waiting to lift the Champions League, and he was booed last season due to some underwhelming performances.

The Ligue 1 side are also believed to have become increasingly frustrated with Neymar's off-the-field conduct, and he has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer.

Chelsea and Manchester City are among the clubs to be credited with an interest in the South American, but he has expressed a desire to continue representing the capital giants.

"I want to stay at Paris Saint Germain. No one from the club told me anything about the plans for my future, as things stand," Neymar told AFP. I don't know what kind of plans they have for me - I want to stay."

"A possible departure of Neymar this summer? What I can tell you is that we expect all players to do a lot more than last season. A lot more! They all have to be 100%. Obviously, we weren't good enough to go far," PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently told Marca.

"For next season, the objective is clear: to work every day at 200%. To give everything we have for this jersey, give the maximum and we will see the result. You have to become humble again. You have to change to avoid injuries, suspensions and fouls that change a game."

The president's comments are believed to have upset the 30-year-old, who has scored 100 goals and registered 60 assists in 144 appearances for PSG since his arrival in Paris from Barcelona.

Neymar only managed 13 goals and eight assists in 28 appearances last term, though, with the forward struggling to overcome an ankle problem in the middle of the campaign.

New PSG boss Christophe Galtier recently said that he wants to keep hold of the former Santos youngster this summer.

"I've always been clear that I want him to stay. There are many games until the start of the World Cup and there will be a need for us to rotate," Galtier told reporters.

"In addition to our starting line-up, I want there to be five players with the same potential who can come in. There will be time for everyone to feature. I know where Neymar can be more comfortable, like [Lionel] Messi. They are players with a great ability to find themselves between the lines and be decisive."

Man City have also ruled themselves out of the running for Neymar, with Citizens boss Pep Guardiola revealing that his side are not planning a move for the experienced forward.

"I am so sorry for Le Parisien, but it is not true. I am sorry for them because the information they have received is false. Neymar is an incredible player and by my information, he is a nice guy," he told reporters.

"Let him express himself at Paris. Manchester City bought 150 players every summer, and it is not true. I am sorry for Neymar, of course."

Neymar was a second-half substitute in PSG's 3-0 friendly success over Japanese outfit Urawa Red Diamonds on Saturday. body check tags ::
