Nottingham Forest are supposedly in talks with Chelsea over a move for striker Michy Batshuayi.
The Tricky Trees have already signed Taiwo Awoniyi, Morgan Gibbs-White and Emmanuel Dennis since their promotion to the Premier League but are expected to be active right up to the 11pm deadline.
Batshuayi has been on the books at Chelsea for six years since leaving Marseille in a £35.1m deal, but he has been sent out on loan on five separate occasions to Crystal Palace (twice), Borussia Dortmund, Besiktas and Valencia.
Now, the 28-year-old could be set for another temporary spell away from Chelsea, as Sky Sports News claims that Forest are in discussions with the Blues over a deadline-day loan deal.
Batshuayi is out of contract at Chelsea in the summer of 2023 and enjoyed a productive spell with Besiktas last season, scoring 14 goals and setting up five more in 33 Super Lig matches.
The Belgium international has struck a further 25 goals in 77 games for Chelsea since 2016, but he has been unable to force his way into Thomas Tuchel's plans amid their striker conundrum.
Instead, Chelsea are poised to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a two-year deal from Barcelona, and the ex-Arsenal man is now in London as he finalises a return to the Premier League. body check tags ::
