Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has reportedly been offered a contract by Lazio but will wait until next season before making a decision on his future.
The France international has seemingly played his last game for Chelsea and appears certain to leave the Blues on a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
According to The Telegraph, Lazio have offered the 2018 World Cup winner a pre-contract, but the experienced striker wants to see whether Tottenham Hotspur reignite their interest before accepting the Italian club's offer.
The report claims that Spurs considered signing Giroud last month after learning that Harry Kane would be on the sidelines until at least April following a hamstring operation.
Inter Milan were also strongly linked with a move during the winter window, but Lazio are allegedly now leading the Italian interest in a player who has managed just five Premier League appearances this season.
The former Grenoble youngster scored 105 goals in 253 appearances for Arsenal ahead of a move to Stamford Bridge in January 2018.
