Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has confirmed that the club is close to completing the signing of full-back Jose Bosingwa.
The Portuguese international was released by Chelsea at the end of last season after four years at Stamford Bridge.
Reports had suggested that the transfer had already been finalised and while Hughes denies this is the case, he has revealed that it should be concluded shortly.
"We're having discussions with Jose Bosingwa and his advisors. We think we're very close to bringing him in," he said.
"He is the right quality. He's got a lot of football left in him. We'd be delighted if we could bring him to the club."
Bosingwa made 43 appearances in all competitions for the Blues last season.
