Queens Park Rangers are believed to have made an improved offer for Chelsea defender Alex.
The Loftus Road club had originally lodged a £3m bid for the Brazilian.
The new figure for the 29-year-old is believed to be £3.5m, according to Sky Sports News.
Despite the interest from Rangers, Alex is thought to want a move away from England.
