Real Madrid are reportedly keeping a close eye on Antonio Rudiger's contract situation at Chelsea.
The Germany international is due to become a free agent at the end of the 2021-22 season and, despite lengthy negotiations, is yet to commit his future to the European champions.
Rudiger has let it be known that he intends to stay at Stamford Bridge having become an integral part of Thomas Tuchel's plans, although a recent report claimed that he is indeed considering his future in the capital.
According to AS, Real manager Carlo Ancelotti is eyeing defensive reinforcements following Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane's exits, and Rudiger has caught the eye of Los Blancos.
The report adds that talks over a new deal with Chelsea have hit a roadblock, and Rudiger will be free to negotiate with clubs elsewhere in January as Real Madrid seek to win the race for his services.
Rudiger played the full 90 minutes in Chelsea's 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend and boasts seven goals from 151 games in blue. body check tags ::
