Chelsea have reportedly made an approach to Queens Park Rangers for Loic Remy after Didier Drogba sustained an ankle injury in a pre-season friendly.
The veteran striker, who returned to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer, was forced off in the first half of the team's 2-1 win over Hungarian side Ferencvaros yesterday.
According to Goal.com, Jose Mourinho's side are unsure how severe Drogba's injury is, but are lining up a move for the France international in case the 36-year-old is ruled out for a prolonged period.
Remy was set to join Liverpool earlier this summer, but the move reportedly collapsed amid concerns over the 27-year-old's medical.
