Chelsea have reportedly become the latest Premier League side to show an interest in landing Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels this summer.
The 26-year-old hinted earlier this week that he is ready to bring his seven-year spell at the Westfalenstadion to an end, claiming that his future will "become clearer in the coming weeks".
Manchester United and Arsenal have both been strongly linked with the German World Cup winner in the past, but The Metro claims that Chelsea are lining up a bid of their own for the £35m-rated centre-back.
It is understood that Dortmund chiefs are willing to let one of their star men leave at the end of the season, should the offer made be of a substantial value.
Hummels, who has made 23 appearances for BVB this campaign, has two years remaining on his current deal.
