Chelsea and Liverpool have reportedly both sent scouts to watch Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt as they consider a possible move for the teenager.
Brandt broke into the Leverkusen squad halfway through last season, and he is considered one of the most promising young talents in the Bundesliga.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers recently travelled to Germany to watch the 18-year-old in action for his club.
The Reds could be prepared to launch a move for Brandt in the January transfer window, but are reported to be battling Chelsea, whose scouts have been present at the BayArena recently.
