Chelsea could reportedly make a late bid to bring Robin van Persie back to the Premier League.
The Blues are believed to be in the market for a new striker this month, with Brazilian frontman Alexandre Pato said to be close to completing a loan switch to Stamford Bridge.
However, The Express claims that, should the move for Pato fall through, interim boss Guus Hiddink will turn to his fellow Dutchman Van Persie.
The Netherlands international ended an 11-year stint in England last summer when he left Manchester United to join Turkish side Fenerbahce.
There have been suggestions, though, that the 32-year-old has struggled to adapt to life in Istanbul.
