Gianfranco Zola has reportedly sounded out his former Chelsea teammate John Terry over a move to the Middle East.
Terry, 35, announced yesterday that his 21-year association with the Blues will come to an end in the summer after he was informed that his contract would not be renewed.
According to The Mirror, that news has alerted Zola, who is the head coach of Qatari club Al Arabi.
The report adds that the Italian is hopeful his connection with Terry will convince the centre-back to reject interest from the MLS and China.
Earlier today Chelsea released a statement in which they hinted that their captain may still be offered an extension to his current terms.
