Roma have reportedly not given up on the possibility of signing Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech this month.
Cech has been forced to serve as understudy to Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge this season, and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho recently insisted that there was no chance the 32-year-old would be allowed to leave during the current transfer window.
However, Roma are keen to test Chelsea's resolve, and the Serie A club are confident of coming to an agreement with the Blues, according to The Mirror.
Cech has also been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in recent months, but Roma are believed to be hopeful that Chelsea would be willing to allow him to move away from the Premier League.
Any move could hinge on whether Chelsea can sign another back-up goalkeeper after the club confirmed that Mark Schwarzer will join Leicester City.
