Thibaut Courtois has reiterated that he is "happy to be at Chelsea" and has no desire to return to Spanish football anytime soon.
The 24-year-old suggested in an interview last month that he was looking to head back to La Liga, where he spent three seasons with Atletico Madrid, when his Blues contract expires.
Courtois's comments upset supporters at a time when Chelsea's results had taken a turn for the worse, but he has now moved to clarify the situation and says that he is in no rush to return to a country he has previously called his "second home".
"I understand the commotion with the Chelsea fans," he is quoted as saying by The Independent. "But I just meant that I want to return to Spain one day - but it can also be after my career. I'm happy to be at Chelsea. For how long, we will see. But now I want to win prizes with this club."
Courtois, who has kept two clean sheets in seven appearances this season, is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2018.
