Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea 'both interested in Luis Diaz'

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are both interested in Porto attacker Luis Diaz, according to a report.
Sports Mole

Porto attacker Luis Diaz has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for both Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea in the final stages of the summer transfer window.

The 24-year-old has scored 26 times and registered 13 assists in 99 appearances for his Portuguese club since arriving from Atletico Junior in 2019.

According to Mais Futebol, Spurs and Chelsea have been keeping a close eye on Diaz's development, and the two Premier League sides are considering 'advancing with offers'.

The report claims that the London duo have stepped up their interest since watching Diaz at this summer's Copa America, where he scored four times in five appearances for Colombia.

The attacker's agents are allegedly making their way to England for informal talks, although there is also thought to be interest from Spain.

Chelsea have re-signed Romelu Lukaku this summer in a club-record deal, while Tottenham have thus far managed to keep hold of Harry Kane despite strong interest from Manchester City.
