Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk has reportedly told the club that he is only interested in joining Liverpool this summer.
The 26-year-old has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City, with Liverpool withdrawing their interest after being reported to the Premier League for an alleged illegal approach.
However, The Mirror claims that Jurgen Klopp is still hopeful of a move materialising for the Netherlands international, having made the signing of a centre-back one of his top priorities in the transfer window.
The report goes on to say that Van Dijk has no desire to join any of the other interested parties and has his heart set on a move to Anfield.
Southampton are unwilling to sell the defender for anything less than £50m, but new boss Mauricio Pellegrino is thought to be eager to get any deals done early in order to find a replacement before the start of the new Premier League season.
