West Ham United are reportedly planning an audacious bid for midfielder Cesc Fabregas if he fails to nail down a regular starting spot in Chelsea's first team.
The Spaniard was named in Antonio Conte's starting lineup in the Premier League for the first time on Saturday evening as the Blues slipped to a heavy 3-0 defeat to rivals Arsenal.
Fabregas had to make do with a place on the substitutes' bench in each of the opening five games of the campaign, leading to talk of a move to AC Milan once the transfer window reopens for business in the winter.
Conte has seemingly left the door open for the 29-year-old after his impressive display in the EFL Cup win over Leicester City last week, but The Mirror reports that West Ham are ready to pounce if the situation changes in the New Year.
It is also claimed that free agent Kevin Constant, who has previously spent two years in the AC Milan ranks, has been offered to the Hammers following the injury sustained by Arthur Masuaku.
