Javier Zanetti has spoken out to deny that he could leave Inter Milan to join Chelsea.
Rumours surfaced on Thursday that Jose Mourinho was preparing to offer the defender a player/coach role at Stamford Bridge.
However, Zanetti, who played under Mourinho during the Portuguese coach's tenure at the Nerazzurri, insists that he does not want to leave Inter.
"Honestly, I have a great relationship with Mourinho, we often talk, but we never talked about these things," Zanetti, 40, told Inter Channel.
"I believe that Inter fans know what I feel about this shirt. I always said, to me, Inter is my life and that... my desire is to stay here. Say no more."
The former Argentina international has been at the San Siro since 1995.
