New Chesterfield signing Luis Boa Morte has admitted that he is unsure how far away he is from reaching full fitness.
Boa Morte signed for the League Two club on Wednesday, and although he has stated that he would like to be involved in Saturday's match with Dagenham and Redbridge, he is unsure when he will become fully fit.
The 35-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm just going to take it day-by-day. It's difficult to say how far I am from full fitness but I am looking forward to just keep doing what I was doing, training, and making myself available to play.
"I've just met the lads, I got a good welcome and I'm just looking forward to get back training and to start playing as well."
Boa Morte last played in England for West Ham United in 2011.
