Chesterfield's Eoin Doyle is reportedly close to completing his switch to Cardiff City after the two clubs agreed a fee for the in-demand striker.
The 26-year-old has been in red-hot scoring form this season, bagging 25 goals in all competitions to see his name linked with an array of clubs in the Football League and abroad.
However, it appears as though the Bluebirds have won the race to land the Irishman, with Sky Sports News reporting that a deal worth £750,000 is to be signed should he pass a medical in South Wales this afternoon.
Doyle scored in Chesterfield's 2-2 draw against Doncaster Rovers on the weekend, helping his side to keep their place in the League One playoff zone.
