Chicago Fire have hinted that they are in negotiations with Chelsea and Premier League legend Didier Drogba.
Speculation has mounted that the MLS side are on the verge of signing the free agent on an 18-month deal after his second spell with the Blues came to an end this summer.
"Obviously, we can't name names but we're talking to some players and obviously someone like that would be great to bring to the club," Fire coach Frank Yallop told reporters.
"Obviously, I can't say anything more than that, to be honest."
The 37-year-old helped the West Londoners to four Premier League titles, netting over 150 goals throughout two stints with the Stamford Bridge club.
