Colchester United goalkeeper Mark Cousins has agreed terms on a contract extension and will be playing for the club until next summer.
The club's manager Joe Dunne said that Cousins, whose contract was due to expire at the end of this month, is an important part of his squad.
"I'm really pleased we've got Mark signed up, I've known him a long time and he is an honest, hard working and talented keeper," Dunne told Colchester's official website.
"It's vital we have players like that around because their work ethic rubs off on others."
Cousins has made 70 appearances for United.
