Former Colombia international goalkeeper Miguel Calero has died at the age of 41.
Calero suffered a stroke last week and was unable to recover from his injuries, despite undergoing hospital treatment in Mexico City.
A statement from the Colombian FA said: "The Executive Committee, affiliated clubs and leagues, coaches, players and employees of the Colombian Football Federation deeply regret the death of Colombian goalkeeper Miguel Angel Calero.
"He will be forever present in the history of the national football team because of his immense achievements on the pitch and his unquestionable humanity, which always left a mark on each person who shared their life with him.
"We want to express our deepest sympathy and support at this difficult time to his family, close friends and all the people who, one way or another, were part of the life of this great man."
Calero, who retired as a player in October 2011, won 50 senior caps for his country.
