Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato has revealed that he was the subject of interest in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old, who returned to Brazil earlier this year after spending six years with AC Milan, had reportedly been a transfer target for Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur.
"I received offers, they called Corinthians, sent a fax, to sign me in the window, but I sat down with the staff, talked with my agent and I told them I wanted to stay," he told Sportv. "I wanted to help Corinthians fight for a place in Libertadores."
Pato recently received a recall to the Brazilian national team.
