Crewe Alexandra manager Steve Davis has praised his side's comeback from a goal down to secure a 3-2 win away at Colchester United in this afternoon's League One clash at the Weston Community Homes Stadium.
Second-half goals from James Jones, Nicky Ajose and Anthony Grant cancelled out Chris Porter's opener just before the break and, despite Jack Marriott's strike six minutes from time, Crewe were able to hold on for the win.
Davis told the club's official website: "It was a massive three points for us. We showed some character and I'm delighted that we have shown that we can come from behind to win a game.
"I wasn't too pleased with the way we saw out the final minutes and we can learn from that because it led to us being a bit edgy when we had been in control of the game.
"But like I say it was a great comeback from us and an important three points to take into Tuesday night against Yeovil."
Crewe climb outside the League One relegation zone to 19th place following the win.
