Eberechi Eze was able to feature for Crystal Palace's Under-23s team today as he continues his journey back to full fitness.

The winger suffered an Achilles injury back in May during a training session, and it was expected that he would be unavailable for the Eagles until 2022 at the earliest.

However, the 23-year-old was able to play for the Under-23s for just over an hour against Blackburn Rovers, getting through the performance without any injury concerns.

The Englishman is now expected to make a return to the first-team squad within the next few weeks, bolstering Patrick Vieira's attacking options.

Crystal Palace were able to defeat Manchester City at the weekend with a 2-0 win which helped them to climb to 13th in the Premier League table.
