Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has expressed fears that captain Mile Jedinak could be on the sidelines for a significant period of time after the midfielder picked up an injury during Tuesday night's Capital One Cup action.
The 31-year-old Australian was forced off the field with a suspected hamstring injury in the second half of Palace's extra-time 4-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town.
"I'm a little bit worried about the skipper," Pardew told reporters after the match. "He might have done a hamstring, but we'll have to wait and see. We think he might have done something a little bit long term, but we'll have to assess him in the morning."
In the Premier League, Palace will take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Saturday.
