Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has insisted that his side still have work to do, despite a much-improved spell in the Premier League.
Palace remain at the bottom of the league standings, but six points from five matches have taken the Eagles to within touching distance of 17th place.
However, while openly praising his side, Hodgson says that everyone at the club is aware that they cannot afford to drop their level over the upcoming Christmas period.
Hodgson told reporters: "It's been a better spell for us. The last 14 games divide quite clearly in half, they're quite different. The last seven have been much more productive.
"It was important to get the clean sheet (against Brighton). If you get a clean sheet you then have a chance of nicking a goal to get the three points. A lot more work to be done and we're all aware of that."
Palace will move level on points with 17th-placed West Bromwich Albion with victory at The Hawthorns.
