Former Crystal Palace manager Ian Hollway says that he will return to football management stronger after leaving the Eagles earlier this week.

Ian Holloway has vowed to return to football management stronger after he left Crystal Palace this week.

Holloway stepped down from his post at Selhurst Park following their 4-1 defeat to Fulham on Monday, and the former Eagles boss has said that he will come back to the game when the opportunity presents itself.

"My pride has been battered and bruised by the agony of losing seven of our first eight games of the Premier League campaign after the ecstasy of winning the Championship playoffs last season," Holloway told The Mirror.

"But I will be back, And when I return, I will be a stronger man and better manager after the experience of my rollercoaster 11 months at Selhurst Park.

"When I parted company with Palace last Wednesday, I admitted that I was drained both mentally and physically. But that's because, over the course of the last four years, I have hardly had a break from the game."

Palace are currently 19th in the Premier League.
