Tony Pulis: 'New signings will give us more of a threat'

Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis is hopeful that his new signings, coupled with the return to fitness of Glenn Murray, will give his side more of a threat in front of goal.

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has expressed his hope that his deadline-day signings will give the team more of a threat in front of goal.

Palace have scored just 15 goals in 24 games this season, the lowest tally of any side in English football's top four divisions, prompting Pulis to sign Thomas Ince and Joe Ledley just before Friday's transfer deadline.

Glenn Murray, who was the club's top scorer when they gained promotion from the Championship last season, is also due to return soon after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

"We want to keep our organisation and our resilience and want to show the spirit we have over the past couple of months, but those three hopefully will give us more of a threat," Pulis told reporters.

Ince and Ledley were signed too late to be eligible for this afternoon's match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, which the Eagles lost 2-0.
