Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has claimed that he is looking for players with "something to prove" in this transfer window.
The Potters boss has been linked with moves for Everton's Nikica Jelavic and Blackpool winger Thomas Ince, but says that he wants players who are prepared to fight for the Eagles' survival.
He told reporters: "The important thing at this football club is that we bring players in who have got something to prove.
"I don't want to be bringing in players who just want to jog through six months. We need people who are going to roll their sleeves up, work hard and make a difference and add to what we've got already.
"I've got a list of players, the chairman (Steve Parish) has got that list of players. We need to get deals done if we're going to push on.
Palace are currently in the relegation zone in the Premier League.
