Crystal Palace duo James Tomkins and James McArthur have signed new contracts at Selhurst Park, according to a report.
Both players were due to leave the Eagles on free transfers at the end of June upon the expiration of their contracts, but now look to be extending their six- and eight-year stays at the club respectively.
This is according to The Sun, who report that fresh terms have been agreed with both Tomkins and McArthur, with an official announcement from both sides due soon.
Thirty-three-year-old Tomkins will continue to serve as backup to first-choice pairing Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen in Patrick Vieira's side, following the arrival of the duo in a major squad overhaul last summer.
The former West Ham defender was restricted to just eight Premier League appearances during last season as a result, but after notching up 279 top-flight appearances so far, Tomkins offers a huge amount of experience both on and off the pitch at the South-London side.
Meanwhile, McArthur has gone on to make 249 appearances for Palace since his £7m move from Wigan Athletic back in 2014, including 21 in the Premier League during the 2021-22 campaign, in which Vieira guided the Eagles to an impressive 12th-placed finish in his first season in charge. body check tags ::
