Crystal Palace are reportedly at the head of the queue for former Chelsea captain Gary Cahill.
The experienced centre-back is available on a free transfer having left Stamford Bridge at the end of June.
A number of clubs have been linked with moves for the 33-year-old, who has made 349 Premier League appearances during his professional career.
However, according to The Sun, Palace are leading the race for Cahill, with the Eagles preparing to place a two-year contract on the table.
The report claims that foreign clubs have also shown an interest this summer, but Roy Hodgson's side are confident of securing the defender's signature ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Palace, who will open their Premier League season at home to Everton next weekend, have signed Jordan Ayew and Stephen Henderson in this summer's transfer window.
