Crystal Palace are up against Ligue 1 side Lyon to land the signature of Ajax defender Kenny Tete, according to a report.
The Eagles are said to be hopeful of luring the right-back to Selhurst Park thanks to their new Dutch connection, having appointed ex-Ajax boss Frank de Boer earlier this week.
It is claimed by the Daily Mail that Turkish giants Galatasaray were close to signing Tete for £2.7m, but a move fell through for the Netherlands international.
Palace will be further boosted in their pursuit by the fact that De Boer handed the 21-year-old his Ajax debut in 2013, holding the youngster in high regard throughout his time at the Amsterdam ArenA.
Lyon could match any offer made by Palace for Tete, however, after being left impressed by his displays in last season's Europa League semi-final against Ajax.
