Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew remained tight-lipped when questioned on his club's reported interest in free agent Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Togo international has been without a club since leaving Tottenham Hotspur in September and it is understood that Palace currently lead the race for the former Arsenal and Manchester City forward.
Pardew offered no indication of his plans when questioned, but did reveal that 'it would be nice to see a big player come in'.
"Adebayor, and a couple of others that have been mentioned, we're still going down the line of. We're after somebody who would fit into our group. It'd be nice to see a big player come in," Pardew told reporters.
Palace, who return to Premier League action at home to Tottenham this weekend, have failed to score in their last five league matches, losing their last three.
