New Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has reportedly made Jordan Rhodes his top transfer target and is ready to test the resolve of Blackburn Rovers with a £6m bid in January.
Rhodes has maintained his prolific form at Ewood Park this season, scoring 10 times in 16 appearances for Rovers.
Palace boss Pulis had the Scotland international watched at close quarters during Blackburn's goalless draw with Reading on Saturday and believes that he could help the Eagles successfully beat the drop, according to The Mirror.
Rovers knocked back bids from Championship rivals Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers last summer, but that has not stopped Pulis from identifying the striker as a viable addition after being promised funds by Palace chairman Steve Parish.
The Eagles have failed to fire since returning to the top flight, with only Dwight Gayle scoring more than once so far this season.
