How Czech Republic could line up against Denmark

Sports Mole looks at how Czech Republic could line up in Saturday's Euro 2020 quarter-final with Denmark.

Czech Republic will have Jan Boril back from suspension for Saturday's Euro 2020 quarter-final with Denmark, and the 30-year-old is expected to return to the XI at left-back.

Boril was banned for the 2-0 success over the Netherlands in the round of 16, with Pavel Kaderabek handed the left-back spot, and it will be fascinating to see what head coach Jaroslav Silhavy has in mind for this match.

Vladimir Darida and Jakub Jankto were surprisingly left out of the side that started against Holland, and the pair might have to accept spots on the bench once again, as Antonin Barak and Petr Sevcik were both impressive in the last-16 contest.

Tomas Soucek and Tomas Holes are certain starters in the middle of the park, while Lukas Masopust will again feature in a wide area for the Czechs.

There will also not be a change when it comes to the centre-forward position, as Patrik Schick has enjoyed an outstanding tournament for his country, finding the back of the net on four occasions.

Silhavy's biggest decisions will come in the positions behind Schick and the left-back spot, as the Czech Republic bid to set up a semi-final clash with either England or Ukraine next week.

Czech Republic possible starting lineup: Vaclik; Coufal, Celustka, Kalas, Boril; Holes, Soucek; Masopust, Barak, Sevcik; Schick
