American billionaire Chris Kirchner has reportedly expressed an interest in buying Derby County.
Having being docked 12 points for entering administration, the Rams currently sit six points adrift of safety in the Championship standings.
However, according to The Sun, there remains interest in purchasing the East Midlands outfit, most notably from Kirchner who has already travelled to England to assess the possibility of making a bid.
The report suggests that Kirchner, the owner of numerous companies including Slync.io, has put forward an offer of £50m.
Kirchner is also said to be keen to hold discussions with the EFL at a time when further sanctions for Derby are being considered.
In an open letter to supporters, Kirchner has acknowledged that he is keen to become the new owner of Derby.
