Derby County manager Paul Clement has revealed that he is hopeful of signing defender Jason Shackell from Burnley.
The 31-year-old made 49 appearances for the Rams during the 2012-13 campaign before moving to Turf Moor.
"I don't know any more news than it's ongoing," Clement told BBC Sport. "Hopefully it can be brought to a conclusion sooner rather than later."
Derby continued their pre-season schedule on Tuesday night with a 1-0 win over SV Meppen in the Netherlands.
