A first-half goal from Brett Pitman was enough to give Bournemouth a win over Doncaster Rovers this afternoon.
Elliott Ward and Harry Arter both had chances inside the opening 10 minutes for the visitors, but neither was able to get their shots on target.
However, Eddie Howe's men took the lead with just over half-an-hour played as Charlie Daniels crossed the ball in for Pitman to tap in his first goal of the season.
Paul Keegan had a chance for a quick equaliser for the hosts, but his first touch was poor, resulting in his shot going over.
Pitman was needed at the back at the start of the second half, clearing a David Cotterill free kick as Doncaster continued to search for an equaliser.
The hosts continued to apply pressure, with James Coppinger firing his effort just wide, before a second chance missed to the left moments later.
Lewis Grabban almost added a second late on for the visitors, but his 81st-minute header just cleared the crossbar.
