Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara has insisted that his side could have defeated Kilmarnock by a greater margin following their 1-0 win at Tannadice Park.
Nadir Ciftci scored the only goal of the game in the second half, but the Terrors missed a host of chances to extend their advantage.
"It could have been more comfortable for us if we'd put away a few more of the chances we had and it's taken a fantastic save from the goalie to keep us in front," BBC Sport quotes McNamara as saying.
"Keith Watson took an elbow to the head and has had five or six stitches but he'll be okay. John Souttar stuck to his task very well against Kris Boyd who is a very experienced opponent."
The result moves United up to fifth place in the Scottish Premiership.
