Australia international Ryan McGowan has claimed that is is "great" to be back playing in the Scottish Premiership, having completed his switch to Dundee United.
The 25-year-old, who has previously spent five years playing for Hearts, penned a deal at Tannadice to keep him at the club until the end of next season.
Twelve-time capped McGowan saw his contract with Chinese outfit Shandong Luneng expire last year, although he has now been offered a route back into football by Dundee.
"It is great to be back in the Scottish Premiership and I am excited about the challenge of being a Dundee United player," the 25-year-old said in a statement.
"When I moved to Shandong Luneng Taishan, I believed I would return to Scottish football one day and for it to be here at Tannadice is fantastic.
"My time in China was a great experience but I look at what we can achieve here at Dundee United this season and I want to play a part in helping the club reach its goals."
McGowan has also enjoyed spells at Ayr United and Partick Thistle in the past.
