Dundee manager Jim McIntyre hopes Roarie Deacon can be a major player for him in 2019 after an injury-hit spell.
The 27-year-old wide player has only made one start and three substitute appearances this season sandwiched in between two lengthy layoffs with a thigh problem.
But Deacon was back in full training ahead of Dundee's 2-0 defeat by St Johnstone on Saturday, which left them bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership.
And McIntyre hopes to be able to utilise the former Arsenal and Sunderland trainee after the winter break.
"I'm just hoping he gets a bit of luck because he certainly has not had a lot of it of late and he's a player who can benefit our squad," McIntyre said.
"He's a great option on the wider area, both sides, and he's got a goal in him as well.
"It would be great if we could get a fit Roarie Deacon up and running."
