East Fife maintain their promotion playoff place in the Scottish League Two standings at fourth, after a Sean Dickson close-range strike on the half-hour mark was enough to upset league leaders Albion Rovers at Bayview Stadium this afternoon.
Albion remain at the top of the table, albeit with a slimmer lead over Queen's Park than at the beginning of the afternoon with a five-points advantage. The Glasgow side secured a 2-0 victory over Annan Athletic as Sean Burns and Shaun Rooney each found the target in the first half.
Clyde and Berwick remain as they were in eighth and ninth place with 41 and 40 points respectively after an indecisive meeting at Shielfield Park.
Montrose are also unmoved at the bottom of the table in spite of a rare victory as they overcame East Stirlingshire 1-0. A 21st-minute strike from Ross Campbell gave the Links Park outfit just their third victory of the campaign, although they are still destined for a playoff clash to retain their participation in the league for next season.
The afternoon's final game saw Arbroath fall to a 2-1 defeat against Elgin City. Bobby Linn scored for the visitors but Craig Gunn and Shane Sutherland turned the tables, leaving Arbroath with just one win so far this calendar year.
